Lego Star Wars Review: Trade Federation MTT (7184)

7184: Trade Federation MTT
Year: 2000
Minifigures: Battle Droid (x7)
Piece count: 470

Build: There were a couple difficult instruction steps and once again it was because the exact pieces were not shown.  Additionally, the older plastic did not allow the droid arms to stay on tight and they would fall off if they were bumped even a little bit.

Playability:  If the pieces were tighter, this would be a great set to play with.  There are quite a few moving parts and it separates into two sections, both of which open to reveal different parts inside the MTT.  It would even be more fun if you were to combine it with other Naboo sets.

Value: It was a good price, when released and you can still find this one (on occasion) for a reasonable price.

Recommendation:  Even though this one is great to play with, I would only recommend this one to collectors because of the loose piece connections.  For those non-collectors who want a MTT, I would recommend a newer one (e.g. 75058).
