Lego Star Wars Review: UCS TIE Interceptor (7181)

7181: TIE Interceptor (UCS)
Year: 2000
Minifigures: none
Piece count: 703

Build: Being one of the first UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) Star Wars sets, this set was extremely easy to build.  The wings are quite flimsy and I would not recommend holding the ship by the wings.

Playability:  Although it is quite cool to play with a larger version of a TIE Interceptor, because of the flimsy wings, I would only display this one.  Speaking of display, it looks pretty amazing on display (once I got the dust cleaned off).

Value: Per piece price, it wasn't worth the original value.  That being said, the UCS sets go up drastically in price after they are retired.

Recommendation: Based on the current prices online and the flimsy wings, I would recommend collectors only.
